This lesson introduces Program Evaluation (43 minutes, plus time for reading and reflection) and was developed in collaboration by Dr. Jennifer Esala, PhD, Research Associate; Mirah Lake, Instructional Designer & e-Learning Developer; and CVT’s Research Department through the Partners in Trauma Healing (PATH) project. At the end of the eLearning you will have the opportunity to take an Assessment. A score of 80% or better is required to pass the Assessment. Once passed, a Certificate of Completion will be e-mailed to you within seven business days. Please note, if you did not watch the full training module and get 80% on the assessment in this section, you will not be able to click the orange “Complete” button located outside of the lesson. Once that button is available, please click to send us your assessment score so you can receive your certificate of completion.

The systems, processes, and information associated with Program Evaluation are vital to ensure quality programs, enhance the impact of existing programs, and to secure funding. Staff often misunderstand, undervalue, or do not see their own role within these processes and systems. In this lesson, we will provide an introduction to Program Evaluation and then take a look at PMER (Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research) and highlight how this concept both benefits and relies on staff in all areas of your organization.
