The following course examines effective ways to develop and follow through on treatment plans, and is part of the Collaborative Care for Refugees, Torture, and War Trauma Survivors in Primary Care eLearning Series. This course will focus on refugee treatment planning, and discusses how providers can provide education about possible problems and symptoms to these patients, orient patients to the reason for treatment planning, create a treatment plan with patient partnership, and sustain ongoing collaboration between providers for this population.
This course is based on the chapter, Treatment Planning, from CVT’s Improving Well-Being for Refugees in Primary Care: A Toolkit for Providers. The content from the toolkit was updated and edited by Shruti Dasgupta, PhD, LP and Amy Kamel, MSW, LICSW to be used in this course.
Length of time for course section: 97 minutes
At the end of the eLearning module you will have the opportunity to take an assessment. A score of 80% or better is required to pass to obtain a certificate of completion.
