This virtual training was conducted as a 4-part series. The initial webinar on the fellowship training is listed below. The subsequent three webinars will discuss the mechanics of the fellowship program across three distinct stages. These stages took the form of Ask the Expert panel session, lasting approximately 90 minutes, and was facilitated by two AsylumWorks staff, one of whom will identify as a graduated fellow. By the end of each stage, participants will have a better understanding of the administrative, managerial, and programmatic time and effort needed to successfully implement the fellowship program. This session covers stage three, which discusses:
- supporting fellows during the second half of the fellowship (6 months – 1 year)
- boundaries
- graduating fellows
- post-graduation
Objectives:
After attending stage three webinar, participants will be able to:
- Listen to a recent fellow describe her experience from beginning to end.
- Discuss the role of staff in their capacity to mentor and support fellows.
- Develop effective off-boarding strategies.
- Discuss ongoing program challenges.
