Description:
The subsequent three webinars will discuss the mechanics of the fellowship program across three distinct stages. This stage took the form of Ask the Expert panel sessions, lasting approximately 90 minutes and was facilitated by two AsylumWorks staff, one of whom will identify as a graduated fellow. By the end of each stage, participants will have a better understanding of the administrative, managerial, and programmatic time and effort needed to successfully implement the fellowship program. This session covers stage one, which discusses:
- how to recruit prospective fellows
- suggested hiring criteria
- interview best practices
- best practices to guide fellow onboarding
- fellowship training topics
- fellow challenges and program challenges
Objectives:
After attending stage one webinar, participants will be able to:
- Develop effective strategies for recruiting and vetting prospective fellows.
- Implement interview best practices to assess potential fellows.
- Utilize best practices to facilitate the onboarding process for new fellows.
- Recognize the challenges that come with employing former clients.
