Megumi Layman is the Program/Project Coordinator for the National Capacity Building at CVT. Megumi has a demonstrated history of navigating challenges to address the needs of victims and strengthen program effectiveness through a strategic combination of public policy initiatives, collaborative efforts, and a hands-on, grassroots approach. She previously served as an Advisory Board Member for PCORI-WV AWARE and currently for Urban Institute on projects relating to domestic violence/intimate partner violence. She has participated in various committees and task forces, including the Child Fatality Review team, Domestic Violence Fatality Review team, West Virginia Victim Assistance Academy, and Children’s Justice Task Force. Megumi has actively engaged in victim service initiatives within state government and NGO, completed two terms of service in AmeriCorps VISTA, and in Workforce Development. She holds a BAS and nearing completion of her Master of Business Administration from Bluefield State University.
