Kathleen Farah, MD
Holistic and Integrative Family Physician
Dr. Farah is a Holistic and Integrative Family Physician. She is certified with the American Board of Family Medicine, American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine, is a Diplomate in the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine, and is a Fellow with the American Academy of Family Physicians. She has been a family physician for many years in Western WI and is currently providing Integrative Medicine Consultation at Western Wisconsin Health. In addition, Dr. Farah provided Integrative Medicine consultations at Children’s Minnesota Hospital and Clinics Pain, Palliative Care and Integrative Medicine in Minneapolis, MN for over 15 years, and practiced at Mayo Clinic Red Cedar. Dr. Kathy Farah is certified with the Center for Mind-Body Medicine and has been engaged in a number of roles at CMBM. She has been the Clinical Lead for the Indigenous Initiative and at the invitation of local leaders assisted with Mind-Body Medicine trainings in Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and other locations. She is the current Project Advisor and is involved in the design and implementation of the program with VISN 8 (Veteran’s Administration in Florida and Puerto Rico) combining the CMBM model with Whole Health concepts. Another Project Advisor role she has undertaken is Hope and Healing for Indiana Prisons. She has helped to lead Mind-Body training with incarcerated men and women, and Indiana Department of Corrections Staff. She served 3 years as an Associate Clinical Director for CMBM, taking lead roles in Professional and Advanced Training Programs, Children and Teen’s Mind-Body Medicine. In this role, and as a Senior Faculty and Clinical Supervisor she has led workshops and trainings around the world in response to stress and trauma from war, conflict, and gun violence including mass shootings, climate-related disasters including earthquakes, hurricanes, fires, medical trauma experienced by patients and medical professionals
