The Las Cumbres WINGS Program, Walking IN Grace with Survivors of Torture, provides relational, culturally and linguistically appropriate, trauma-informed, holistic, and community-integrated care to survivors of torture and their families in New Mexico. The program also develops and strengthens community systems of care in the state, expanding the capacity of providers and organizations to provide effective, evidence-based services to survivors and their families. The program promotes healing for survivors and their families, enabling them to recover and thrive in their communities.

WINGS is not a member of the National Consortium of Torture Treatment Programs.

Do you have to be a survivor of torture to be eligible for your services?

For the WINGS program specifically, yes. LCCS has many other programs that serve a wide variety of clients and needs.

The Las Cumbres WINGS Program provides relational, culturally and linguistically appropriate, trauma-informed, holistic, and community-integrated care to immigrant and refugee survivors of torture and their families in New Mexico. The program also develops and strengthens community systems of care in the state, expanding the capacity of providers and organizations to provide effective, evidence-based services to survivors and their families. The program promotes healing for survivors and their families, enabling them to recover and thrive in their communities. Services are provided throughout the state, with emphasis on the NM counties of Bernalillo, Santa Fe, Rio Arriba, Taos, and Doña Ana.
 

WINGS provides social work, mental health, immigration legal, and medical care coordination services to survivors of torture and provides training, mentoring, and consultations to professionals, community partners, and individuals. The WINGS program services address the physical, psychological, spiritual, and intergenerational effects of torture on survivors and their families in order to help survivors achieve sustained wellness.
