Dinali Fernando, MD, MPH, FACEP

Dr. Fernando is the Executive Director of the Libertas Center for Human Rights and Attending Physician/Associate Professor in the Emergency Department at Elmhurst Hospital/Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Fernando has developed the Libertas Center located in Queens, NY, one of the most ethnically diverse counties in the US, into a multidisciplinary treatment center providing trauma-focused, medical, mental health, social, and legal services to torture survivors, and conducting training, research, and advocacy on best practices in caring for survivors.
