This presentation was recorded during the FY2023 ORR Recipient Meeting. ORR’s DS SOT Program requires a service model be available to survivors and eligible family members, in particular, “[a] family-focused service plan including services for eligible family members who may experience the effects of torture and trauma in their relationship with the survivor, particularly during initial healing and recovery and when reunited after an extended period of separation; and, assessment and mitigation of the effects of torture and trauma on the survivor’s family to prevent intergenerational trauma through family strengthening interventions.” The panelists presented and discussed the planning and implementation of their respective service models for family approach SOT care.
