Expanded details of program’s services: 

AACI’s specialized torture treatment program, Center for Survivors of Torture (CST), serve torture survivors, refugees and their families using an integrated bio-psycho-social approach with an array of holistic, strengths-based, trauma-informed psychological, medical, legal, and social services. CST also train healthcare, mental health, social service, and legal providers in the mainstream community to enhance their capacity to deliver trauma-informed, culturally competent services to torture survivors. The Center for Survivors of Torture (CST) fits into AACI’s continuum of culturally and linguistically competent services, including a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), mental health and substance abuse services, HIV testing, education and prevention services, shelter and services for victims of domestic violence and human trafficking, patient navigation and other community education and training programs, youth and senior programs, and more.
