AsylumWorks is a 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission is to serve immigrants fleeing violence residing in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia with a special focus on asylum-seeking individuals and families. Founded in 2016, AsylumWorks offers a holistic suite of wraparound services that combines trauma-informed clinical case management, employment assistance, and community support proven to help clients regain confidence and control over their lives. When combined with immigration legal services, AsylumWorks’ approach has been shown to dramatically increase the likelihood that asylum seekers will prepare for and attend immigration proceedings. AsylumWorks clients are also significantly more likely to secure a permanent form of legal protection that offers a pathway to U.S. citizenship. In addition to direct services, AsylumWorks offers training and technical assistance to help organizations and institutions across the U.S. work more effectively with vulnerable immigrants. Please note they do not accept walk-in clients.
