May Kham Eain

May Kham Eain (May) is a Social Work Intern at the Flourish Lab in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and a Fulbright scholar from Burma, pursuing her Master of Social Work (MSW) at UIC. From 2016 to 2023, she worked in migration, youth empowerment, climate change, and mental health fields in Burma. She also worked with the International Organization for Migration (UN Migration Agency), supporting migrant workers, their families, and internally displaced people. During her MSW foundation year, she interned at the Hana Center’s Community Wellness Department, focusing on domestic violence survivors.
