Laura Morrisette, MA, LMHC, is a multilingual psychotherapist with extensive experience in multicultural psychotherapy. She has worked with the Cambodian community in social service and psychotherapy for twenty years. In the past several years she has expanded her multicultural work to serve Latino asylees and new refugees. Laura is trained in teaching Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) by UMASS Medical Center’s Mindfulness Center (founded by Jon Kabat-Zinn). As a mindfulness consultant with Harvard Program in Refugee Trauma Laura facilitates a weekly Khmer language meditation group for Cambodian torture survivors.
