Charity Channel

Council on Foundations
The Council on Foundations is a membership organization of more than 2,000 grantmaking foundations and giving programs worldwide. They provide leadership expertise, legal services and networking opportunities - among other services - to their members and to the general public.

The Foundation Center
Established in 1956, the Foundation Center is today supported by more than 600 foundations. The Center maintains the most comprehensive database on U.S. grantmakers and their grants — a robust, accessible knowledge bank for the sector. It also operates research, education, and training programs designed to advance philanthropy at every level. The Center's web site receives more than 47,000 visits each day, and thousands of people gain access to free resources in its five regional library/learning centers and its national network of more than 325 Cooperating Collections.

The FoundationCenter provides an online directory of foundations with a summary of the foundation’s contact information, areas of funding interest, grant recipients, grant amounts and regional areas of giving. 

Funders Online
Funders Online (site in German/English) is an initiative of the European Foundation Centre. The mission of the European Foundation Centre (EFC) is to promote and underpin the work of foundations and corporate funders in the New Europe. The Information and Communications programme of the EFC provides a public record and a public information service on foundations and corporate funders active in Europe.
